awaycare.ca 4 Monica F. @2016-02-05 Travel insurance is always a good idea. Even better when you're travelling at 6 months pregnant. However, I couldn't find a company that would cover anything pregnant-related due to a minor complication I have. Thank god I got in touch with Denise at AwayCare. She was able to find a policy that would cover me, through Tugo travel insurance. I was so stressed that I wouldn't be able to find anything, and she put my mind at ease. Thankfully, my trip went fine and I arrived home safe and sound, but if anything had happened, it was good knowing I would have been covered. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because while I was covered, my baby would not have been had I delivered him prematurely. Blue Cross was one of the insurance companies I was looking into, who do cover the baby if they're born prematurely, but they wouldn't sell me a policy because of my "pre-existing condition." Otherwise, I would have gone with Blue Cross.
